Sweetest victory -- EVER!

All faces flashed smiles across their faces. Haha. COngratulations to the Scribes. ;)))
Hello guys! As I promised, I'll be updating you about the contest results. Haha. And its super goooood news. :DD
I won in my categories. Almost all of us did, actually. Because of Typhoon Mareng, Baguio retreat was cancelled, but, competition is still on.
Early morning, September 9, I woke up, giddy and all smiles. I could have the best of both worlds now. Baguio retreat and Journalism contest is still on.
I arrived at the venue -- which was actually just about a kilometer away from our house-- at around 8am. I saw the other Scribes who were already there. They were all excited when they saw me. "Nandito kaaaa!" they half shouted. Apparently, they were just as upset as I was when I knew about the retreat fiasco.
First day started with a program. I honestly didn't like the venue. It was too small for the crowd and the sound system was really off. I imagined if only it was held in our school. Whew.
I could only compete in Broadcasting now, since my slot for photojournalism was already occupied. One moment I was only goofing around with everyone then next thing I know, I was competing at News writing English. One of our delegates didn't make it because of the bad weather. So for the sake of taking all chances, they made me fill in the slot.
I honestly didn't know what to do in News Writing. I wasn't even writing articles during the workshops. Good thing we had a one-hour lecture before the contest proper. I was the one who finished first. I knew it was because I honestly didn't know what I'm doing.
Second day was toxic. Radio Broadcasting will be held today. I arrived at the venue at 7am. Super early. Haha. I was really nervous and got panicky by the time the clock ticked 8am. 8:30am, the lecture started. The speaker was Mr. James (sorry, I forgot his surname. haha! =p), a former anchor of a radio program way back in the 90's. He has a reallyyyy nice voice and good sense of humor. He explained every part of the script.
11am was start of the contest proper. We went to our assigned rooms to do the the whole script for just an hour and a half. Panic crippled up to me.
Apparently, a not so nice incident happened. The scripts were supposed to be collected at 12:30, but the proctors arrived at our room 5 minutes before the time and they were already collecting the scripts. Good thing my team had finished the script. But the English team were still writing the last part. The proctor was like, "Stop that! You're not following the rules!" That made me go mad. It is her who didn't follow the rules.
I got out of the room only to be surprised to see that all of the other schools were still doing theirs. We were the only ones whom they collected. And that was super unfair!!
We told our teacher coach about it, and we were very surprised the 2 other schools also had the same problem. Apparently, the schools are the last year's runner ups, (since we were the champions! =p) Our teacher coach really fought with the teachers and demanded to get the English team's script.
But anyway, we did our thing. We performed. I was only sad with what the English team did. They didn't finish their presentation. It was around 3 in the afternoon when the whole thing ended.
So finally, here's the best part. I won 4th place in News Writing English. 4th place! Man. That was awesome. Out of 20 participants, I won 4th. haha!
And the best-est part ever -- 1st in Radio Broadcasting! Haha! I literally jumped and shouted when they said it to me. And come awarding time, when my team was called, everyone shouted "Mariang Uzisera!" (this was the name I used in broadcasting) I can't help but smile.
We also developed new camaraderie among other schools. GNC, HRA, SCA, SAAP, SRC, Dominican School.
One of the many pictures we took together with HRA, GNC and Dominican school. All in all, it was a veryyyyy nice experience we had. Unforgettable.
Up for the next fight. Division Schools Press Conference. Next level. Haha!
till the next blog~

Good news && bad news.
Baguio Senior's retreat was cancelled. Last minute announcement was made. And we were very disappointed. This was because of the heavy rains. We were informed just the night before our departure. It was really sad and disappointing. :(( Imagine expecting a most awaited event and it is within your reach, and boo! It was gone. :((
But....
Good news.
I can compete in campus journalism. Hoooray! I'll definitely give this a best shot, really. This is one of the highlights og my high school life. I'll make up so that the time which I was supposed to be devoting in retreat will be worth it. haha!
I can do broadcasting, but unfortunately, not photojournalism. There were already assigned delegates for it. But still, its okay. At least I could compete, right? haha.
I'll be posting news about the results of the contest next week. Pray for me. Wish me luck. haha!
till the next blog~

I'm losing it.
I can't compete in the yearly Journalist's Press Conference! It's the same day of my retreat! It's really rude. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! I've prepared for this for a long time!!! The contest would be this Sept. 9 & 10. It's the same we are leaving for the yearly senior class retreat. i hope, I really hope, though I know its near to impossible, that the dates would be moved. I really cried when a knew about this this afternoon. I was like "This is isn't real! It can't be this rude!"
I'm really down right now.I'm so depressed. This is like one of the most important thing to me. And now, I'm losing it!! They let me choose between two important things. I simply can't. Press Conference isn't a requirement, but then, it's the only contest I look up every year. It's REALLY important to me. Retreat IS a requirement, and it's also important to me. I'll experience it just once in my entire life. This is really rude!
*I'm totally pissed and depressed* >____________<

I have no words for these.

On the way to Sasmuan. We passed by a flooded street.
konnichiwa~
Hello there. We just finished filming our documentary. The one I mentioned earlier, about poverty. haha. The experience was fun plus, I learned a lot from it really.
We went to the nearby town of Sasmuan, Pampanga. My uncle drove us there and helped us also since they were worried, well actually, its me who is worried. I was like, "I don't know the people there. I'm nervous." haha. okay, that was stupid. haha.
We walked at the wet market, then we reached a couple of houses vying in the small streets. I was kind of annoyed at first because there were a couple of guys who were looking at us, and it made me uneasy when they were staring at me. I was like, "man! is there something wrong with me?" We continued to walk a few more steps and finally settled at the house nearest to the bridge. I'm not really sure but I felt safer there rather than going further.
The house was just small and it was dark inside though it was noon. I asked permission with the guy standing outside, who was already looking at me when we got there. I said my name and what are our intentions. He smiled. That gave me the impression that he was nice. He let us in, and said that we could interview his lola (grandmother) who is living with him.
I was the one who approached Lola Thomasa. I said it's a documentary and then fortunately, she was willing to cooperate with us. I asked a couple of questions to her and then let my groupmates ask further.
Lola Thomasa told us that she was not able to finish her studies. She just reached 2nd grade. I was curious and asked why. She said, "Nagkasakit ako. Pneumonia. Hindi na ako nakapag aral pagkatapos." I felt really sad when I heard that. It may be a little thing for us but to them, it can be hindrance to going to school. She further narrated that at that time, since they're really poor, the money intended for her studying were used for her medicines. Then she hadn't gone to school after then.
Then I also interviewed the guy. His name is Louie. He is just 20 years old but he already have wife and a baby. Louie just finished studying up to senior high school. I asked why he hadn't pursued college. He said that they really have no money for that. Instead, he just worked and eventually, he married Leslie, his wife. He works in a consignation in the market. He helps fishermen bring the fishes to the market then he helps selling them. I asked him if he was still willing to pursue college if he will be given a chance. I felt sad when he answered no. He said he won't be going to school anymore since he already have a family. "Baka pagtawanan lang ako. Magtatrabaho na lang ako." came his reply.
I felt really sad with what they narrated to us. They know and admit that they are poor but still, they don't have any intentions on making any move to change the kind of life they have now. They still have the mentality "Bahala na.."
But, I still learned a couple of things from them, like I was fortunate enough because I get some of the things I want. I study in a private school and I can eat as much as I want. Compared to them who were deprived of education because of poverty. Lola Thomasa also said that sometimes, they aren't able to eat because they don't have money to buy food. Or sometimes, they would eat really late, like eating lunch at 3o'clock in the afternoon. It was also sad hearing those, but it's worse when I heard that even though they can do something to change that, they still didn't.
Aw. This post got too long. I got carried away with my emotions. Haha!
I'm editing the video now, and hopefully I could finish it tonight. ;))
Lola Thomasa's house. You see, it's really dark inside though we went there at noon.Well then, till the next blog. Byeeee;p

Toma Ikuta is a famous Japanese actor and singer. He appeared in almost 17 dramas and won various awards. He mostly plays the supporting character and usually, he end up being more famous than the lead character. haha. Popularly known as his character Nakatsu Shuichi in the drama Hana Kimi 花ざかりの君たちへ (Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ~ Ikemen Paradise). And that is also when I fell inlove with him. ;))
Here's a run down of his dramas that I watched, and loved. It is also fascinating that in every character he play, he has a new hairstyle, that most of time suits him very well! ;D
first in my list, kyaaaaa! Nakatsu Shuichi. <33333

Second is Ishimatsu Ryosuke in the drama Voice. He plays as a Forensic Pathology student in here. Another supporting character.

He's with Kaji Daiki (Eita), the lead role in the drama. Another great actor too. ;)

His hair looks neat and all that. Maybe because he plays the role of a detective, nee~
He's a bad guy here, but he's still way too handsome to hate. haha. ;))
I loveeee his hairstyle here. ;))This post is getting reallyyy long. haha. That's what happens when I talk about Toma. I end up posting long entries, and with many pictures too. haha. I just can't get enough of him. XDDDD
I'm currently watching the last episode of Majo Saiban right now. It's really a great drama, suspense and all that. ;)) I may post a review about Majo Saiban soon.
Alsooo, this 2010, Toma's first ever movie would be in the big screen of Japan. kyaaaaa~ He's really busy taping the movie that's why he can't do dramas right now. T___T
I guess thats all for now.
See you when I see you. ;))

inlove with Ryo Nishikido ;)
isn't he handsome? haha. well everyone, I want you to meet Ryo Nishikido. my boyfriend. haha. Lol. kidding.Ryo Nishikido (錦戸亮) is a famous actor and singer in Japan. He appeared in almost 18 dramas and won 4 awards. He is well known with his character as Haruto Asou in the famous drama One Litre Of Tears (Ichi No Namida) and his antagonist character Sosuke Oikawa in the drama Last Friends.
Fast facts about this guy:
Profession: Actor and singer
Birthdate: 1984-Nov-03
Birthplace: Osaka, Japan
Height: 170cm
Weight: 53kg
Star sign: Scorpio
Blood type: O
Family: Two elder brothers, one younger sister
Talent agency: Johnny's Entertainment
Bands: NEWS; Kanjani8
I first fell inlove with this guy after I watched One Litre of Tears. Honestly, at first, I wasn't pretty much happy with his character. He was a snob and all that, But the latter part of the drama was when he became very like-able. His character showed so much love to his love interest and he grew veryyy handsome. ;)
So I basically googled the details about him. I watched some of his dramas and spent an entire whole day watching his video clips in YouTube, especially the ones when he is asleep and her bandmates were like, "Wake up Ryooooo!" Man, seeing him waking up was like the beautiful thing ever. XD
And yes, recently, I watched his drama Last Friends. He plays the role of Sosuke Oikawa. His character in there was far from what he was in One Litre of Tears. He played a very matured & strange character. Okay..I know, strange isn't the right term. Haha. He was the antagonist in that drama where he loves his girlfriend so much but he doesn't know how to show it. He even used err, domestic violence. But even with those things, I still didn't dislike him. I was like, "this is the only drama that I don't hate the antagonist.." haha. So, it was love after all, nee~ haha. ;))
Traffic accident
On March 1, 2009 the singer caused a minor traffic accident on the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway, according to police. Nishikido Ryo was driving his car on the highway through the city when he crashed into another car on the Roppongi ramp. That car then ran into the one in front. A 60-year-old woman in the middle car suffered minor injuries to her neck and is expected to be in the hospital for a week. Nishikido later visited her to offer his apologies. A Johnny's spokesperson said Nishikido had been vigorously reproached and offered to give up driving for the expected future.

more pics of Ryo. Dozou!
This one's my favorite. ;))
